thoughts on a joyful life with less
I started the blog to focus on the aspects of my life that I am joyful about and also to focus on the parts of life - all of our lives - that are free or inexpensive.
In 2009 I was blessed twice, once when I met my now husband at the very beginning of the year and a second time when our daughter was born at the very end of the year. This year of joy was rapidly followed up by my husband and I both losing our jobs. We live in San Francisco, arguably one of the most expensive places to live in the United States and we were suddenly new parents with no income. This experience certainly shaped me, and I am sure shaped our marriage. Although those were hard times we still had a great deal of fun.
So, here I hope to share not only the nuts and bolts of how we survived financially - quick hint: cut expenses - but how we did so and maintained a joyful life full of adventure.
